  1. The first claim that capitalism is under fire from all angles is interesting. Tucker doesn’t criticize capitalism as a system of market rule, but rather the products from it. I think he is rather appealing to human nature in how materials and toys don’t fulfill you as an individual and can’t make you happy. Now, capitalism obviously supports the manufacturing of new things and mass production of them, but capitalism also supports free markets so if demand for new things or mass produced things went away, then supply too would go away. That doesn’t end capitalism. It is the very essence of it. To be free to respond to the market’s demands and support it with supply. Instead of having it controlled by a government or regulatory organization.

    I’d be curious to read the remainder of the article to see how they justify Tucker’s comments as the “new narrative” and an attack on capitalism.
