The good news is that there has been huge progress on reducing poverty over the last few decades. However, despite such progress, the number of people living in extreme poverty globally remains unacceptably high. According to the World Bank, around 10% of the world’s population still lives on less than $1.90 a day (it was 36% in 1990).
I’m not sure why I find $1 million a month for a holiday rental offensive, but I do.
